Allan L. McVey has been appointed as the West Virginia Insurance Commissioner by Governor Jim Justice.  Mr. McVey has been the Cabinet Secretary for the West Virginia Department of Administration since January 2019.  He also previously serviced as the Insurance Commissioner prior to be appointed as the Cabinet Secretary. The current Insurance Commissioner, Jim Dodril,  announced his resignation on September 3, 2021.
