All Lines of Insurance

New York:  On August 3, New York enacted Chapter 134 of SB 8835, limiting the immunity granted in the 2020-21 state budget to health care professionals who provide diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 directly to confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients.

Rhode Island:  On August 6, the Rhode Island Insurance Division issued an amendment to Insurance Bulletin Number 2020-6, which allowed for the temporary licensing of insurance producers during the COVID-19 crisis. Applications for temporary licensing will not be accepted after August 30.
