In the midst of the Coronavirus outbreak, the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) has announced that it will not require insurers or HMOs to file a corporate governance annual disclosure this year.  The disclosure would have otherwise been due in June and arises from legislation that the Texas Legislature passed in 2019 to create Chapter 831 of the Texas Insurance Code.  TDI’s bulletin advises insurers that are part of groups with a lead state other than Texas to monitor their lead state’s requirements for corporate governance filings.  TDI’s bulletin can be found here.
