The Committee of European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Supervisors (CEIOPS) submitted its advice to the European Commission on the revision of the Insurance Mediation Directive (2002/92/EC) (IMD), on 11 November 2010. The advice, based on in-depth discussions with 21 of the 30 CEIOPS members, represents CEIOPS’ initial views. The advice sets out 39 recommendations, which are structured to consider the 7 issues CEIOPS was asked to examine by the European Commission.
