Earlier this week, the NAIC announced its proposal, as discussed in our June 7, September 12 and October 9 postings, to modernize U.S. reinsurance regulation to its international counterparts during a panel discussion at the 14th Annual Conference of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS). New Jersey Insurance Commissioner Steven Goldman, Steven Goldman, chaired the panel.
The NAIC’s Reinsurance Task Force will continue to discuss the proposal during the NAIC Financial Summit in Atlanta on November 7 and 8.
