On February 1, Georgia Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens issued the following statement regarding the recent Florida court decision holding the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act unconstitutional:

“I commend the court for its decision citing the deeply flawed healthcare law as unconstitutional. As I have stated before, I believe the law to be unconstitutional, and for that reason, last year ensured the passage of legislation providing that Georgians cannot be forced to purchase health insurance. I remain resolute in my belief that Obamacare stifles job creation, piles even more debt on the American taxpayer, and does nothing to address spiraling health care costs.”
