Venezuela’s newly strengthened regulator, the Insurance Activity Superintendency, has called on all authorized insurance brokers and agents to submit sworn statements confirming compliance with their license status.

The demand is pursuant to section 116 of the new Insurance Activity Law, which states that each year authorized insurance intermediaries must confirm that they are exercising the activities for which they have been authorized, and state their most recent address for notification purposes.

Templates for the statement can be downloaded from the Superintendency’s website here. They must be submitted to the Superintendency between 8 and 30 November.
