The Nebraska Department of Insurance recently adopted uniform producer licensing measures to make the lines of authority available for Nebraska licensed producers consistent with the uniformity standard of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.  These changes do not affect a licensee’s ability to sell, solicit or negotiate the insurance products that they are currently authorized to transact but may affect continuing education requirements.  Any new continuing education requirements are exempt for the first renewal period following the August 1, 2008 effective date.
