Missouri Governor Matt Blunt announced on May 30, 2008 that Linda Bohrer will succeed Douglas M. Ommen as Acting Director for the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration (the “Department”).

Ms. Bohrer began working for the Department in 1994 and, for over a decade, has served within the Consumer Affairs Division.  She will be leaving her current position as Director of the Department’s Insurance Market Regulation Division where she reviews policies, rates, products and marketing strategies and oversees market conduct examinations.  Prior to working for the Department, Ms. Bohrer worked for a property and casualty company in its underwriting and claims sections.
