On November 28, 2007, Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman announced his appointment of Ann Frohman as the Director of the Nebraska Department of Insurance (the “Department”). Frohman served as the Department’s Deputy Commissioner since January 2004. In October 2007, she was named the Acting Director, following the death of Director Tim Wagner. Wagner served as the Director of the Department since 1999.
Frohman, 44, has worked with the Department for over 15 years. Frohman has served as staff attorney, general counsel and deputy director. She also served as the State Risk Manager within the Nebraska Department of Administrative Services. The State Risk Manager oversees the Nebraska’s risk management program, workers’ compensation program and claims board.
