All Lines of Insurance

Texas:  The Texas Department of Insurance once again extended the time frame in which financial filings may be submitted to its office without sworn statements, affidavits, and notarizations from July 31, 2020 to September 30, 2020.

Health Insurance

Washington:  On July 29, Insurance Commissioner Kreidler further extended Emergency Orders 20-01 and 20-06 to August 28. Emergency Order 20-01 requires health insurers to waive copays and deductibles for any consumer requiring testing for coronavirus (COVID-19), and Emergency Order 20-06 protects consumers from receiving surprise bills for lab fees related to medically-necessary diagnostic testing for COVID-19.
